When I was young and innocent
I fell in love with you, a dashing young man,
Who became my partner in life
I adored you and was your biggest fan.



You were loyal kind and gentle
Your priority, dreams and desire,
Was to make a good life for us
A person anyone could admire.
Knowing this
I fell in love all over again.



We became parents, a Mom and Dad
You played with the children, your face aglow,
I know how much you loved them
Umm, What a man, and I loved you so.



Each day you would head off to work
But always turn and linger at the door,
You would just stand there and smile
A kiss is what you were waiting for.



As I watched you walk away
With lunch box, hat, and a wave,
Pride swelled up inside me
These are moments I wanted to save.
So I fell in love all over again.



The children are now adults
Living a life of their own,
But, we're still here, together
My, how the time has flown.



Looking across the room
A handsome older man I see,
Slowly I walk toward you
Knowing you're sill in love with me.
Then touching
I fall in love all over again
